Altered books
Without restraint.
I take an old book and explore without restraint: I stain, I write, I scribble. One drawing after another, one wash after another, one page after another, and it all stays in the same volume.
The printed text stops being just text and becomes background, texture, rhythm. The result is almost a workbook: a record of the process and of how each wash, each happy accident, evolved.
